Crispy Fried Fish With Butter Garlic Green Beans

Have you ever tasted fish that’s super crispy on the outside and juicy inside? That’s the magic of a perfectly fried fish! Whether you’re enjoying it as a classic fish and chips meal or as an elegant entrée, crispy fried fish has secured its place as a beloved dish around the world.

Selecting the Right Fish: The Foundation of Flavor

It all begins with selecting the right type of fish. Opt for varieties that are firm and mild-flavored, such as cod, haddock, tilapia, or flounder. These fish hold up well during the frying process and allow the delicate taste of the seafood to shine through.

Getting the Batter Right

Batter is like a special coat for the fish. To make batter, you mix flour with liquids like water, milk, or even beer. Sometimes, people add things that make the batter puffy, like baking powder. This makes the outside of the fish light and crunchy when you fry it.

Draining and Serving

Once the fish is perfectly fried to a golden hue, it’s essential to drain any excess oil. Place the fried fish on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb the excess oil while preserving the crispy texture.

Crispy fried fish is best served immediately, accompanied by a side of some sauce, veggies and some french fries or baked potatoes.

Green Beans: A Fresh and Nutrient-Packed Delight

With their vibrant color, satisfying crunch, and impressive health benefits, green beans have earned their place as a beloved addition to countless dishes.

The Nutritional Powerhouse

Green beans are not just tasty; they’re also packed with essential nutrients that contribute to overall health and well-being. These beans are low in calories and high in fiber, making them a smart choice for those seeking to maintain a healthy weight and support digestion. They are also a great source of vitamins and minerals, including:

Vitamin C
Known for its immune-boosting properties, vitamin C in green beans helps protect the body from illnesses and supports healthy skin.

Vitamin K
This vitamin is essential for blood clotting and bone health. Green beans provide a good dose of vitamin K to keep bones strong and healthy.

Folate
Folate is important for cell division and the formation of DNA. It’s particularly crucial for pregnant women to support fetal development.

Manganese
Manganese is a trace mineral that plays a role in bone health and metabolism.

Whether you’re enjoying them as a side dish, incorporating them into a stir-fry, or using them as a salad ingredient, green beans bring color, flavor, and valuable nutrients to the table.
