Ingredients

For fried fish

  • 4 pieces fish fillet cod, tilapia or any other that you like
  • 1 ehh
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp fish seasoning
  • vegetable oil for frying

For garlic butter green beans

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 500 g green beans
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Mix the spices with flour. You can season the fish with a little bit of salt and pepper beforehand as well.
  • Whisk 1 egg in a bowl.
  • We're going to coat the fish in 3 steps: flour, egg, flour. Firstly put the fish fillet in a bowl of flour and coat the it well. Then we're going to put both sides of the fish in the egg mixture. Then back to flour again, coat it well so we'd have a nice thick crust afterwards.
  • Heat up the oil in a pan. Cook the both sides of the fish until the crust becomes crispy and golden.
  • Take the crispy fish out of the pan and put on a paper cloth to dry the excess oil.
  • Now for the green beans, firstly we're going to mince 3 cloves of garlic.
  • Then melt 2 tbsp of butter in a separate pan. Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the green beans to the pan together with salt and pepper.
  • Cook for about 7-10 minutes and serve with the crispy fish.

Notes

I really like to mix the cooked green beans with romaine lettuce. Then it's serves more as a side-salad and it is packed with even more nutrients!
Baked potatoes or french fries is also a great addition to this meal.
