Shrimp Tacos

Don’t you just love throwing a bunch of stuff on a tortilla and shoving it into your mouth? Well, I do. So here’s a shrimp taco recipe with salsa and sour cream dressing. Get messy with it 😎
Shrimp Tacos With Salsa And Sour Cream Dressing
Ingredients
Tacos
- 8 mini tortillas
- 150 g white cabbage
- 1 red onion
- 1-2 avocados
- 100 g green onions
- 200 g cheddar cheese
- 300 g shrimps
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil for cooking shrimps
- 1-2 tsp salt to season shrimps
- 1 tsp pepper to season shrimps
- 1 tsp garlic powder to season shrimps
- 1 tsp cajun pepper to season shrimps
- 1 tsp smoked paprika to season shrimps
Tomato Salsa
- 0.5 white onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 350-400 g cherry tomatoes
- 1 or less chilli pepper depends on the spiciness you like
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro
- 1 juice of 1 lime
- 1-2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cumin
- 0.5 tsp sugar
Sour cream dressing
- 200 g sour cream
- 0.5 tsp lime zest
- 1 or less chilli pepper depends on the spiciness you like
- 0.5 juice of half a lemon or lime
- 1 tbsp green onions
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Cut all the veggies and put them aside in a plate. Grate cheddar cheese. These will be your taco toppings.
- Prepare the salsa. Mince white onion, garlic, chilli pepper and chilli and add to a bowl. Cut the tomatoes and crush them with your hands or a mixer if you prefer, so the juices come out. Add the spices, lime juice and mix everything together.
- Prepare the sour cream dressing. Mince the chilli pepper, cilantro and add some green onions from the veggies you cut before. Grate some lime zest and add lime juice. Add spices and sour cream. Mix everything well.
- Heat up a pan and add mini tortillas folded in half for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Now add some sunflower oil and let it heat up too. Add shrimps and spices to the pan. Cook both sides for 2-3 minutes until shrimps are a nice pink color.
- Make your tacos in the following order or the way you like: tortilla, cream sauce, salsa, veggies, cheese, shrimps.
