In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of lemon juice, 3 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of dried basil, 1 teaspoon of dried parsley, lemon zest and salt.
Slowly drizzle in 1/2 cup of olive oil while whisking continuously. Keep whisking until the marinade emulsifies.
Place your chicken pieces in a ziplock bag or a shallow dish. Ensure there is enough space for the marinade to coat the chicken evenly.
Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure each piece is fully coated. Massage the marinade into the meat for maximum flavor.
Notes
For optimal results, refrigerate the chicken and let it marinate for at least 4 hours. If time permits, leaving it overnight will intensify the flavors even further.
