Ingredients

  • 400 g minced beef
  • 300 g tomato sauce I used my homemade one
  • 1 big onion
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked chilli ground
  • 2 packets rice 200 g
  • 6 pieces tortillas
  • 6 tbsp mild salsa sauce

Instructions

  • Mince the onion and garlic cloves. Cut the bell pepper into small cubes.
  • Add both oils to the pan and heat it up.
  • Add minced onion, garlic and bell pepper to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add minced beef to the pan and season it with cumin, salt, pepper and smoked chilli ground. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the beef is no longer red.
  • Once the beef is done cooking add the tomato sauce and let it absorb for 1-2 minutes while stirring. Then, turn the heat off.
  • At the same time boil some water in a pot and boil the rice for 12-15 minutes. Set it to cool down afterwards.
  • Now it's time to roll the burritos. Take one tortilla, add a tablespoon of salsa sauce, rice and the cooked beef mix and roll it together.

Notes

The best way to eat a burrito is with some sour cream and guacamole on the side. Enjoy!
You can also wrap these burritos in a foil and freeze them for later.
